Over the past 10 years Michael has worked with leadership teams from a number of the world’s leading organisations to help create sustainable behavioural change and to encourage outstanding performance within those organisations.
He works with CEOs, boards directors and their senior managers, to help them to meet the changing needs of their business and to become effective and enabling leaders of change themselves.
Michael provides one-to-one coaching support for individuals as well as working with catalytic leadership teams. He is a highly accomplished workshop facilitator and is currently a faculty member on an executive education programme run by the world’s leading business school.
Michael focuses on enabling people to appreciate and fully access their leadership potential and to lead their organisations with greater authenticity and genuine emotional intelligence.
He helps leaders distinguish and focus on the critical contribution that they can make and to examine those beliefs and behaviours that might be limiting their current leadership potential. He works to help uncover performance blocks at an individual, team, and organisational level.
His work with groups covers strategy creation, defining vision and values, creating high performance teams, and inspiring emotionally intelligent leadership. Michael’s work is experiential in nature, believing strongly in the link between learning, enjoyment, and performance.
Michael has served a wide range of companies in most major markets around the world, including a number of global professional service firms, retail and private banks, telecommunications companies, insurance firms, and global retailers.
Prior to becoming an executive coach, Michael was deputy chairman of one of Europe's leading marketing services organisations where he was responsible for a dramatically successful culture change programme.In a career spanning 25 years, he was on the boards of three of the UK’s top 20 advertising agencies, during which time he was Director of Client Service, Strategic Planning Director and Business Development Director. He has been instrumental in a number of globally acknowledged campaigns for some of the world’s most famous brands.
Michael Manwaring is a member of the Institute of Marketing.
Michael is keenly interested in both psychology and philosophy and enjoys many aspects of Indian art and culture. He is an enthusiastic tennis player and a novice yoga practitioner. He also finds time for his large immediate and extended families.
