Graham Alexander

Graham Alexander

Graham Alexander is often described as a ‘super coach’, having been largely attributed with bringing business coaching to the UK. He is one of the few people coaching at the top level of UK/international business, specifically CEOs, Boards and Senior Executives and is widely acknowledged to have coached more CEOs in the UK than any other coach. Graham founded Europe’s largest coaching company – the Alexander Corporation (subsequently Alexander) - and has gone on to become the authority on executive coaching.

He began his career with IBM, focusing on line management and management development. Having been seconded to work on Operation Trident, a programme specifically designed to provide young people with the skills and experience to manage life after school, he began researching and practising a variety of approaches to human performance and learning.

In 1979, Graham introduced the concept of the ‘Inner Game’ to Europe – which has since become an established coaching technology. This methodology was developed extensively throughout the 1980s and played an integral part in bringing management and executive coaching to the corporate world. Furthermore, Graham developed the GROW model which has become the world’s best-known business coaching framework.

In his quest to ‘maximise performance, development and fulfilment in people and organisations everywhere’, Graham formed the Alexander Corporation Ltd. (subsequently Alexander). This market-leading consultancy specialised in enabling the world’s premier businesses to release and focus the human potential of their people.

Graham Alexander continues to be a leading figure in executive coaching. The main focus of his work is to enhance individual and collective effectiveness. He uses specific techniques to help senior management to understand and address a wide range of issues that relate to high-performance execution of corporate strategy. His particular expertise relate to straddling the domains of strategy, leadership, culture and team/individual effectiveness.
